Birthday Girl!

Well my baby girl turned two last week and I can't believe it. She has really started to look like a big girl this month. We had a small picnic party at Craighead Forest this Saturday and it was HOT. I was thinking 11:00 am in June wouldn't be that hot, think again, whew. I think we'll have an indoor or pool party next year! This is the dress her meemaw made for her birthday, she looks beautiful in it if I do say so myself... :)

This is the only kid I know that can fall asleep mid-chew. I guess she had a big day and an early nap, so at 7:30 while she was trying to eat dinner the poor girl couldn't keep her eyes open. I took this picture and I laughed for 5 minutes. Doesn't she look posessed or something? :)

My bright eyed baby girl! Aubree was born bright eyed and bushy tailed, and that is sooo her personality. She is as sassy as they come and these big blue eyes are always looking for trouble. She doesn't mind to put anyone in their place and when I cross her she tries to claw my eyeballs out. Her teacher told me the other day she has a "listening problem". I found that kinda funny, believe me she listens and knows everything your telling her to do, but she will do what she wants. I believe I may soon get my dose of the Terrible Two's, that I didn't get with Bubba. Pray for me. :)

Memorial Day Weekend

Well the company has come and gone, my fridge is full of leftovers and we're in need of a nap!! We hosted Joey's family reunion this year, lots of food, and I think everyone had a fun time. The kids had a good time playing ball, bubbles, and in the sprinkler. That all came to an end for Ivan after his unfortunate 4-wheeler crash. I was inside tending to Aubree, when I heard the door open and he was screaming. Apparently he and Riley decided to go for a ride, the small 4-wheeler he has is really not made for 2. When he got to the end of the driveway he accidentally hit the gas when he turned the corner and flipped it. Luckily for Riley, Ivan took the majority of the impact. Poor guy he's sore all over today. Here are a few pics.

My First Pony....

Tail, that is... Aubree's hair is finally long enough, I put it in a little pony tail this morning. I don't know how long it stayed there, but here it is....

And Ivan left early this morning with his daddy for a turkey hunting trip. This was his first real turkey hunt. They didn't kill one, but sounds like they had a great time. They were making a fire and roasting marshallows a couple of hours ago, wish I was there with them... :( Guess somebody had to make the money.

Memphis zoo

Mom and I took the kids to the Memphis Zoo today, then we went to Overton Park and had a picnic. The weather is beautiful today, we just came in the house and we have all the windows up and a nice breeze is blowing through. We got there as soon as they opened and that's the thing to do, when we left about 1:00, I could not believe the traffic lined up to get in that place. This was Aubree's first visit to a zoo, and she did okay, but she is a free spirit and wanted to run everywhere. We had to keep her in the stroller and that got old for her pretty quick. Ivan has been to the Memphis zoo once before and to the Tulsa zoo once. Here are some pics, couldn't get Ivan to smile in most of the pics, but he had a really good time.
